I took a look around my workshop. found some metal parts and welded an engine stand of them




and then I started to part the engine (4.2.2006)
The intake manifold also had the coal-tar?/coat:

Piston and cylinder seemt good at this point I didn't know why had compression lost from the engine


But the conrod bearings were worn.

Maybe this was the problem with the compression:

Some coal was on the exhaust valve seats.
But on all of the 8 valves so I don't know why just the cyl 2-3 had comp loss... :roll:







I had a big trouble with the crank timing pulley, I wasn't able to pull it down.

Finally I drilled a hole and broke it down...

I've sent the main parts to hot leaching/lixiviation bath
results were (pictures took on 7.2.2006)

The exhaust valves had some kind of coat. It was very hard on the valves I tried some kind of chemicals but no one made anyting. finally I removed them with Flex (angle grinder?) and steel brush...



So here I started some head porting. I just wanted to remove the big materials that 100% not needed and are in the way of the air.
