You have way too much spare time on your hands..
It's not the goodies that count.. it's the spirit.
The trueno NoHachi and I bought has a big turbo engine, full T3 suspension..but it's not much more special to me than my ordinary coupe.
All the mods you can do are imho meaningless if there isnt a history to them.
Most people that can buy a shitload of parts and slap them onto an ae86 are likely to get bored faster than the guys that have had their car evolve over time and can appreciate what each mod has done for it..

It's not that hard to get your hands on any part you like as long as you have the money... you just dont get the point I was making, which is that mods mean little unless there is a point to them, and to know what suits you best, you'd need to drive for a while.
Best save your money for a good car to start with.

dream 86... street... I'm driving it(well once the AZ6 is in...)... mild suspension tweaks... strong engine with W I D E torque band... solid 6 spd drivetrain, competent brakes

dream fantasy corolla.... AE92 cpe, 20V 4AGE blktop fitted to a AE95 drivetrain Cusco front and rear LSD 4wd with 1 locking and two LSD diffs. toughest part would be to transfer the AE95 rear suspension mounts to the AE92 chassis. Everything else is bolt in!!! You can even run an AE86 6.7" diff(w rear disc brakes) if you mirror mount the track rod mount to the opposite side.

You can |Sad .... OR you can ask for help!!!

I just look at the garage, and imagine being a good enough driver to actually make use of the full potential of that car.

Most perfect car of the forums to me was Zax's white coupe.truly leading the hachi life, and good for at least one interesting story each week.

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear
