This is a bit premature, but I might as well make this thread now. Pictures will follow later.

So far, this is what I know:
The car will be completely disassembled, all the paint will be stripped off by hand, all the rust will be fixed (however much there is) and it will be painted again in whatever colour or colour combination I want.
Price: 21500dkk (~€2900) which is about the same or less than the price a good danish painter would take for just painting the car on top of whatever finish it has already (including receipt of course)...

Having trouble deciding on the colour... Black? Black and Dark grey like Miguels, VW Blue like Dodos... Dumb question

Also:
The roof antenna and sunroof are going away.
The front seats are getting fixed up - I don't know exactly how yet though.
Black leather headliner and sunvisors.

This is what it looks like now:

I will take some proper pictures tomorrow (getting pretty dark here) where you can see some imperfections.

Do you leave ALL the work to the Polish guys? Just drive the car there and leave it?

I don't even drive it to Poland... It's picked up and delivered at my home. All for the same price.

To fix what?
That car is in great condition, judging from the pics of course...

Color is also nice.
If you change it, keep the lower anthracite part and paint the upper black. That's what i ll do when i have the chance

oh, and remove the rear spoiler. I hate that spoiler Angry

Yes... on the outside... At a distance.

Then I guess I should do something else then ;-)

I like it. At least the hatch version. I'm not a fan of the one on the coupé.

Yonzie

Anybody you know who´s doing the pickup and the delivery.? Just wondering! Confused

How did you get in contact with such a deal... Sounds pretty cool, if your sure that the car will indeed be delivered on time. Thumbs up!

There are some Polish people around here, if any translation's needed, feel free to PM! Smile

Ahhh, VTEC. All the lag, none of the turbo. It's like waiting for bad sex.

Sultennok, Widar:
Check out http://philippsen.nu/ The page absolutely stinks, but it gives an idea of what they do. Apparently he's joining up with some other company and getting a new page made so no point in repairing the broken crap he's already got.
Got the link from a guy on Hi-Speed (Biggest Danish Peugeot site) that was thinking of sending off his "new" MX-5. There's also these guys that I haven't contacted: http://www.investa.dk/biler/reparation.htm
I believe the pick-up part is only valid for Sjælland. In Jylland/Sweden it may be extra.

Sultennok:
Delivered on time? I'm not sure I understand what you mean. I don't care if it takes two weeks or two months, as long as the price is right and the work gets done and they tell me approximately how long it'll take.
I talked to Erling from Erlings Autolakering (you know who) about the work on the Pug, and he said 2 weeks to 2 months depending on the amount of other work they had... Needless to say I found another place with a proper level of service. Paid twice as much but Erlings Autolakering is now closed... Busted by the Tax guys... I wonder why.

Darkstar:
I appreciate the offer but this is an end-to-end service that takes care of everything for me. It's important to me that it goes through a Danish company so that I have someone to get money from if something goes horribly wrong and the car ends up in Russia or whatever.
