Why Zenki and Kouki colour difference
Hey guys

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this but can anyone tell me why is the paint lines on a Zenki and Kouki front bumpers different?

Tried googling and apparently im the only person to wonder about this or the only idiot that does not know lol

The Zenki line just looks the part the Kouki bothers me because from the side the lines dont line up.

That is the difference.

Zenki and Kouki.

You can't really make the OEM paint lines on a kouki version.

That is why you don't see many Takumi's with kouki bumpers.... It doesn't fit. Smile

I can't answer why they did that. The only thing I know is that they did that with a few others in the Toyota lineup. The kouki Carina GT-R also received a similar treatment, but then with a black top layer and white bottom bumper:

The zenki didn't get the painted bumpers though...

The shape of the bumper is different. To illustrate this, have a look at this photo:

The kouki Trueno up front has the zenki paint scheme applied to a kouki bumper. It doesn't look entirely bad, but the upper black line is too high and looks wrong.

I also used this picture as an example what you can do wrong in the panda paint scheme video I made:

Thanks banpei was hoping you would comment after I watched that video of yours. I understand what you saying about the black looking to big but I really like it more with the zenki spray line

It is a matter of whether you wish to keep it authentic or make it look good. If you like it better with the zenki lines, go for it. Thumbs up!
