The 4 tooth are too close to 24 tooth.

There is not enough lead time to allow triggering without reseting
"degree counter" in the ecu software?
Events are too close together and too close to TDC.
Also Im suprised you ahve success witht he stock loom too.
EURO AE86 has NE, G and G- wires that are not shielded.
Last time we tried this we had LOTS of noise on the wires.

On this setup megasquirt is used in MSnS mode .
Only the 4 tooth wheel is used.
The shield of the wire is not very important since the VR sensor wire is about 25cm long only.
After that it arrives to the MAF ignitor where it is converted to digital. After it is in digital mode the shield is not very important.

Gon, AE86_z,

Did you use 20v TPS? How do you wired it to the harness?

I have mine this ways, but don't work

[code:1:0523451c01]tps side > loom side
brown > yellow
Blue > red
Red > Blue
Yellow > brown[/code:1:0523451c01]

I get FLOOD CLEAR in megatune and calibration process give same value on min/max fields.

regards

Hi,

I have the AE101 TPS too.
The wires are here:

AE101
Throttle Position Sensor 1 Y TPS constant voltage supply TPS power supply terminal
Throttle Position Sensor 2 R TPS wiper track signal ECU terminal ‘VTA’
Throttle Position Sensor 3 B TPS idle position microswitch ECU terminal ‘IDL’
Throttle Position Sensor 4 BR TPS sensor earth ECU ‘E2’ sensor ground terminal.
AE86
Throttle Position Sensor 1 B VCc TPS power supply terminal
Throttle Position Sensor 2 R VTA ECU terminal ‘VTA’
Throttle Position Sensor 3 B IDL ECU terminal ‘IDL’
Throttle Position Sensor 4 BR E2 ECU ‘E2’ sensor ground terminal.

Y=Yellow
B=Blue
