Big changes coming conserning the bodywork when summer hits here and i really need to get my J160 gearbox that came from lexus installed soon. More gears yay! Tongue

Heres a pic for you from the last summer after i got an older bumper from EE80 corolla installed. Fits so much more nicely than the EE90 bumper i had Smile

That looks rather nice, I wonder how this bumper would look on a Celica. It should fit width-wise I guess Dodgy

Late reply woops! haha.
A stone flicked up and smashed the windscreen.

Went to the drags recently which was fun. Let my brother drive for most of the day and he had a blast.

Still need traction brackets or diff mods though as the launch is absolutely disgusting.

Also working on a plug and play digidash thats a mix of standard dash signals and canbus information.
Pretty close to having it all working now.
Has context sensitive screens so for example if you have cruise control turned on, the screen will show you different information compared to if you are at a race day. Work in progress!

So roman: the BEAMS still goes strong? No issues whatsoever? Also what kind of rear setup are you running right now?
Fabulous car and cool dash!

Yes thats right, beams motor still going strong and taking a hiding!

I havent had any issue with the motor in a very long time. It's been great.

I've got a dual VVTI engine to swap in at some point, but this one has been a real trooper it will be a shame to take it out for retirement.

Rear setup is F series 4x114 liveaxle from an MA45 Celica GT.
It's just desperately in need of traction brackets or similar to space down the 4 link arms.

I went for a long drive with the dash in place, and everything working great.
Still lots of work to do in order to finish adding the features I want but I've passed a lot of the major hurdles and my coding has improved tenfold over the course of this project.

I am really glad to hear that. I wish I could deal with the authorities here in Hungary with a BEAMS swapped Celica Smile. But at least my 4A-GE Blacktop 20V setup is 100% road legal, so once I have sorted out my issues it should be fine for getting around, to the track and back Smile. And I have ITB roaring with factory ECU.
Glad to see an A6 platform married with a BEAMS though, I always had the feeling thatt they are a perfect match in terms of power/weight ratio.

Yeah its a great fit and easy to work on. Which makes sense as some of them came with a 1S or 2S originally.

Yep blacktop is a great engine too!

That dash is pretty cool, 3D printed by the looks of it, what tech did you use for the display?
