T50 gearbox leak
I thought this was the rear oil seal leaking but it turns out the gearbox is leaking from behind the release bearing retainer.
It looks straightforward to fix but is there anything I should watch out for when doing so ? Anyone seen this problem before ?
Thanks, TC

Should be straight forward, i just ordered the seal from Toyota aswell as a gasket thats required when changing the seal.. 4 bolts once the box is off!

I've had two gearbox's leak like this, both times i found the engine had no spigot bearing in the back of the crank as someone had put FWD motors in, so perhaps get a spigot bearing too, if required.

Mine was leaking from the gasket and the oil seal looked ok.
Definately has a spigot bearing, fitted it myself. I can see how the seal could get damaged if the bearing is missing though.
