Super white II, with or without clearcoat???
I just delivered my 86 racecar project to the paintshop
 He recommended me to get a clearcoat on the Toyota Super White II color on the outside of the body. Have anyone done this? And what will you guys recommend me? Enginebay and cabin will be regular Super White II without clearcoat. The whole car will be white, exept mirrors, doorhandle, grill, ect. Project AE86 now begun. Cars I have owned: Toyota Starlet EP91 1,3 16v Turbo, 200hp Toyota Starlet EP71 1,3 12v Sport Mercedes 207D camper, 1977. "Clearcoat is added to Toyota vehicles with pearl, mica, opalescent or metallic exterior colors to contain the elements that give these colors added luster and shine. Toyota feels the factory paint application process on all vehicles is sufficient to protect and prolong the life of the paint on our vehicles."
So you don't need a clearcoat  (but a clearcoat will better protect your paint) |

Can you tell me if the Old Super White II 040 color are the same as the new 040? We just recive a new Hilux in this color.
