dodo, very good news! glad it is only the clutch, hope you dont find anythign else wrong with it.

About the locks, that is indeed strange, but come to think of it, I remember when my mom locked her keys into the car once and called road help. they simply slipped a metal stripe into the door and opened it. Very easy to do on these old cars (in this case it was a '84 BMW). Makes one think how vunerable our cars are to theftSad After the door is open, pop the hood and you can start her right up.. Sad

Anybody got good ideas about anti theft solutions? Let me start a new thread on that one.. .

Buy a 50,000volt car tazer from South Africa.

Its armed when you leave the car and if you dont de-activate you get quite a shock. LOL

Removable steering wheel is a big help.
Hidden fuel cut switch is another.
Pull off a HT lead

etc etc.

I find a large nasty Chocolate Labrador called Chester seems to do the trick Wink

Ian, that fuel cut switch sounds like a good option. Removable steering wheel.. I dont know, it'll stop an unprepared thief for sure...

With that labrador you no longer need to worry about the thief steeling your car, you'll be to busy worrying about the labrador recking your car!Smile

He only travels in the VW Golf.

never been in the hachi as there is no real way of securing him.

I was considering making a video called Drifting With Pets but my wife thinks the animal rights peopel witll come after me.

I also have a pair of pure white siamese cats I could use in the vid. Wasnt it you with the white drift cat ?
