Shifting from 4th to 3rd
Hey all,
Since my T50 TRD quickshift my shifter had problems from 4th to 3rd.... Back to the OEM shifter and the issue is still on.... I disassembled my gearbox entirely and everything looked OK. What may be the problem with my shifter or gears? It is only from 4th to 3rd, no scratch or noises...... It just "locks" then most of the times i have to go back to second and then to third again..... Anyone to help me out? Thanks |

I'm not sure a 100%, but I think the 3rd gear is the only one without bearing.
So maybe the output shaft or the bore of the gear itself is worn out to a point where the sleeve bind against the synchro ring. Did you take pictures during the disassembly ? |

Nope.... I guess i'll have to disassemble the gearbox again....
 Before disassembling the gearbox, it was just perfect.... Can't really find any reason for this... |

I have the same problem when going from 3rd into 2nd since removed/ installed my shifter... Not a big deal on my side as my gearbox is going to be changed for a J160 one but I'm also curious where the problem is.

I also want to swap my Gearbox. Still... there's no development on the Irish guy doing those.....
So i'll be waiting a bit longer.... |

SQ is probably getting done soon.... But there is no detail on the fitment. At least from my search....

Worn selector fork or sleeve.
They no longer push straight but go slightly sideways and then lock out. An analogue brain in a digital World |
