Handbrake help needed.
When I pull my handbrake (while driving) I can lock my right wheel but not my left.

I always thought that this was because my left brake wasn't good.

But when I tested the brakes on a brake tester (remmenbank) I saw that when braking with the pedal , both rear side brake equally.
But when braking with the handbrake the right side brakes a lot while the left does almost nothing.

I checked under the car and all the cables moved freely.
Dumb question

Then probably the handbrake lever on the caliper is stuck? Dumb question
See here how to it works

Try to see if you can find out if the left lever is still moving.

If you had rebuilt the rear calipers you could had assembled it wrong.

See what banpei said...

The steel cable is in good condition ans is fitted in its place?

i have the same, but other way arround, only the left. And to put a tire mark on the ground, i really need to push the handbrake lever.

I rebuilded it to, but i dont give the handbrake other use than park, so i got a bit careless. But i'll check it for the next mot.

I didn't rebuild the calipers.
I did check the lever and they both moved freely...so I don't know.

I'll try to jack the rear wheels up, spin them and then try to pull the lever by hand and see what happens.

brake pads are almost new. Disks are old, but plenty of thickness left.

Shouldn't be the pads and disks if they work fine on the foot brake...

Maybe just put some fresh handbrake cables on? Thats a worthwhile replacement after 25 years in all situations.
