Ok, for bigger power flex might be an issue. About not trusting crank scrapers: some OEM manufacturers build them into their engines from factory. They dont really come that close to the crank. That's why those Ishihara-Johnson fellows sell the teflon inserts which are meant to come into very close contact.

I have a feeling your oilpan will end up plenty expensive. The only way to get it much stiffer without putting a one-piece item in there is to use some kind of thick flange and weld the rest onto that. Will be heavy if made from steel, and expensive if made of aluminium.

if you a little handy with a mig/tig welder then i think its not so expensive.
my cousin made also a bigger oilpan.You just have to make "schotten"(dono the english word for that) in the oilpan like in a fueltruck to avoid problems in corners

The making it bigger part is something any moron can do (not referring to your cousin BTW Blush ). But making it strong enough to resist flexing of the engine is a different thing altogether.

@Roger:
Even though an engine seems pretty solid, at high rpm the block itself is rumored to be prone to flexing, causing various problems.

Well still working on the engine. Now with a high RPM tool.

Going to try and find some 200+ sanding grounds for my machine to super smooth it. Though this surface is already a million times better than it originally is.

I actually have no clue if this mod is noticeable but it should increase cooling and oil flow trough the engine. So that would suffice for me.

Also seems that the amount of shit that is originally on the block wall can come off gradually and damage bearings etc.

Also I send a mail to a fabrication company which does mods on 4age's for kit cars. Hoping to see if I can design and build a custom oil pan with him.

Any one ever tried making the cam covers together ? Also to strengthen the engine.

Why constructing a new oilpan if you could just improve the crankcaps:

Looks nice. where can you buy it and what does it cost?

But I am wondering what will happen with all hte oil that comes down the center channel. If that will be tossed back against the crank it will result into power loss due to drag?
