Removal of front wings

I went out to the garage today and removed the old rusted front wings, but encountered problems, I couldn't remove the two screwes that hold the wings in the bottom, they wheren't stuck, I could turn them and turn them and turn them, but they never came out.

Any ideas of how to remove them? Just cut them off? How are they fixed to the frame?

I dunno, they broke off on senna's coupe. My guess is that the attachment to the frame is broken, or the bolt has spun and is stripped of its threads. Drill it out I guess.

Yeah drill it out would be my suggestion aswell. I broke one and 3 came out just fine....

I guess this is going to be a problem for mounting then new ones too.

Have you guys seen rivcert/rivnuts ? if so you could replace the screws with some M4 rivnuts and just use new treated bolts so they don't rust up - I guess this is providing the rot hasn't got the main part of the shell. Nice simple solution (maybe).
