Aico,

I'm no expert on episode numbers but if I remember the story right Itsuki gets his AE85 around the time that the race with the skyline is so these events are in the same episode range. After the race with the Skyline the red EG6 comes on the scene that eventually will push Itsuki off the road.

Hehe... Didn't read it that way. Wink

I thought indeed that in that particular episode the skyline race was held and Itsuki bought his AE85 a few days after. Wink

Blueneon,

Check the projects thread for aico's project. He has a trueno 3door SR5 (=AE85) with a number of pictures.

Basically its got a 4AC in there, its basically a 8valve carberator version of the 4AG engine (or is that the other way around, a 4AG is a 4AC with 16 valve's and EFISmile) It also has a normal diff in the back, not an LSD, and often comes with drum brakes in the rear.
The exact config changes a bit from country to country though...

Look around in the technical forum, there is plenty of info on the SR5/AE86 in there.

Well, an AE85 is not the same as a SR5. You can find the differences on the Club4AG tech reference:
http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20tech_..._chart.htm
Bottom line: ae85 has a 1.5 3A-U engine while the SR5 has a 1.6 4A-C engine. The SR5 engine has a bit more horsepower than the AE85.

Most SR5s are more comfortable then the GTS: they have powersteering, electricmirrors, electricroof and some of them have airco. Smile
In the US the SR5 was the luxury cruiser, while the GTS was the sporty version. In Japan the AE85 was just the cheap version of the AE86. The same looks, but underneath a lot cheaper. Wink
