Rear brakes
This is in reference to a standard AE86 disc braked axle.
On the face of it what l'd like to sounds daft but hear me out.
For the purpose of the car l want the facility to use 13" wheels.
l want to use a hydraulic handbrake using dedicated calipers.
Currently the hydralic is working in line with the standard rear calipers
but using a standard lever (regulations) the handbrake is only just good enough.
This is basically a piston / master cylinder size issue, plus l don't like inline handbrakes.
So..
To allow clearance for the wheels and attain a larger piston l'm considering
fitting AE86 front calipers to the rear as a dedicated caliper.
I have some T3 adaptor plates (quad caliper) understandably the front '86
calipers don't fit. Nissan S13/14:calipers do fit but l doubt a 13" wheel would clear.
The Wilwood caliper option uses the same size piston as the rear AE86.
Has anyone done anything like rhis?
