Ok I thought you were keeping the Yaris Smile Its no problem using an AE86 as a daily driver - I did for four years and had a lot of fun Thumbs up! I didn't know much about cars either back then, but you'll learn along the way...

Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Wink

Daily driver: '92 Toyota Carina E GTI
Rebuilt project: '86 Levin hatch

El Chueco,

Haha, thats the attitudeSmile

Seriously though, only the first two are important, the last two are nice to have. I haven't heard yet of a Hachi braking down so bad that you can't use it anymore. Only rust problemsSmile

I've been driving with a wining differential for over a year now, and I probably will be for another year. It'll probably not brake down for years to come, just make more and more noice as I ignore the problem.
At some point I will replace the ring and pinion, bearings and if I win the lotery put a new LSD in there and it will be fixed, but the problem is not bad enough to worry.

Even with 20 year old bushings, you're cars handling will improve tenfold if you replace them, but the car will keep on going with old bushings just fine.

Its all where you draw the line, how good do you want your car to be, how fast do you want to get there, and how much money are you willing to spendSmile

Greetz,

Moved down under, no more hachi Sad
