Power - 4AGE ITB's and Stand alone ECU?
I am just wondering who has fitted the throttle bodies from a 20v unit, and what sort of power they got? any tips?

I have just ordered a Perfect Power XMSL ecu, I have used this on other engines and seems to work quite well. I plan to run it with a Peugeot coilpack and run wasted spark. I have also jus bought a set of 20v throttle bodies and a Technotoytuning adapter plate to fit them, can't wait. I plan to get the ecu running on the standard injection first.

My engine is stock at the minute, just a homemade exhaust and air filter fitted, going to the rolling road on sat morning to see what it is making before I start.

Ivan

any info on the conversion before I start would be great.

I think alot of power can be gained from mapping the ignition and it will give me greater control over the engine. plus I don't think the standard ecu will work the the quad throttle bodies, so needs to be stand alone.

Cheers

Took the car to the rolling road on Sat, I will try and attach the printout, it made 118.6bhp at the flywheel. I just wanted to get a baseline figure before I put the ITB's on it.

Hello

I had a standard engine with just an air filter, header and HKS exhaust. It made 116bhp with 148,000km on the clock.

I have just had AE101 throttle bodies fitted with 272/7.9 TODA cams, 0.8mm head gasket and Apexi Power FC ECU. It makes 140bhp at 7,800rpm and the power was still climbing. Need to get some high strength con-rod bolts (and an engine balance, it doesn't half vibrate at that speed) to get some more revs so I can get more power.

Both power figures are using regular petrol in Japan, that is 89 Octane.

I hope this info helps
