I honestly don't know what to think of Doug Demuro. Some of his material is good, but sometimes it's clear he just doesn't get it.

More seriously: he used to be quite funny when he was doing more serious videos. But he got quite popular with his silly format of explaining all the quirks of cars in his reviews and then everything went downhill. Undecided

This video isn't really inspiring me much, especially not since it's a Donut Media video and the content is generally haphazardly cobbled together from various (dubious) sources. But it does feature a well known engine bay:

I just happened to bump into this photo of a set of Trueno redlines on a Lotus Esprit S3:

The person even cut the mid section into two parts to make it fit! Huh

But I have to admit the owner has taste fitting the early (zenki) Sprinter Trueno tail lights. Thumbs up!

Now can we get the facelift Esprit lights on an 86? I know somebody tried it once, but I'm not sure how successful it was.

I'm inspired. Maybe if he had released this 15-20 years ago at the height of Initial-D popularity then it would have been more iconic than Spaceboy.

Yes that definitely would have worked better 15-20 years ago. Now it almost sounds like retro music! Big Grin

Speaking of inspiration, this relatively new Croatian channel picked up a Danish three door in rusty brown hue and plan to restore it to former glory:

Luckily for them their LHD headlights are still in good condition.
I already left them a message to join here and/or get in touch with ZaX. They already know him so he might be able to help them out a bit with his knowledge on AE86es. Wink
