No. I wrote in the previous post - I used grade - "65Г" steel

I found that your steel with 14220 grade have this usage:

Use in industry: for carbonized parts small sections, working on friction

But usage of steel grade "65Г" that I found pleased me more....

The use of industrial: springs, thrust washers, brake bands, friction plates, gears, flanges ....

And now I think that no necessary in to anneal them.

How do you think?

Yes this material will work well too... to anneal them is not necesary..

I made one set tempered to avoid breaking and one set without and both works well

I am looking on your feedbac how yours is working..

It's a bit hard to tell from the picture, I guess this is made from one single piece or are the small teeth on a pressed on ring?

One piece, ofcourse.
Technically can not be otherwise ... because this part transmits torque from the differential axle to the half-shaft of wheel.

The disks were placed in the boxes and sent to the factory for fine grinding to the desired thickness.

But before that, I spent a sleepless night in meditation and measurements.

did you manage to get a proper measurement on the width of the teeth on the main gear. I'm still not sure how good they will take the load over time.

Almost...
Using not the most accurate calipers and leads to adjust valve clearance I have a figure of 3.5 mm width of those teeth's.

Under this width I adjust all five plates.

Hi DRFT,

from the photos above it looks like our inside and outside diameter of the tooth is slightly bigger than it should be..

Under the widht of the tooth you have to place only inside plates the outside plate doesn't have to be there...

well that still makes it 3 plates instead of one... anyhow at ~1mm per plate that seems doable..

If anyone is willing to share the technical drawing for the plates I wouldn't say no to having them - else I'll just have to wait untill I find the time to pull it all apart myself one day.
