OBX Exhaust Systems
Hey Guys,

Because I was very curious at this system I bought it on EBay for my track car. It arrived today and I was very pleased with the quality.

Its very decent and the materiel is pretty good. (only thing I dislike is that its without a flexible piece making the chance on tears and rips)

All gaskets included only I am missing the silencer but I contacted the supplier about that.

What amazes me is that the system is a good 0,5 cm (5mm) larger than standard. This is good for flow rating. Only the connecting points are weird because they have a ledge which would decrease flow.

I might even do some modifications to the flanges to increase the flow but I am unsure of that atm.

System looks good. 50mm pipe diameter with resonator. The tip is fucking large but its for a track car anyway.

I will post pics in my project topic and here unpacked and once mounted on the car. I will keep you posted.

K here some pics. I kinda hung the system together to take a picture. Will be on the car soon. The welding looks pretty decent.

The systems seems to be around 1mm thickness and is very light.

I believe you will find out that there is a bit missing ( it was on mine )
the OBX headers comes with a pipe after the headers and then there should be the CAT. After the CAT the OBX "cat back" is used.

If your not using a CAT you will have about 30cm of exhaust pipe missing.

They don't fit in the car bolted on like you have them on the picture.... you need a decat pipe or just extending one part of the exhaust.

In the bit that is missing I installed an "exhaust flex". It helps preventing cracks on the exhaust by absorbing vibrations.

That what I was thinking as well. But if it does its good to note it down and of course a flex piece is excellent. I might even think of chaging in another muffler to easy the sound.

It does look good, but for a street car i think it would be too loud.
