Not a AE86 but a KE70 with a 4age + ITB's - Total rebuild!:)
Hey guys, I realised I havent updated this thread in a while so....
Ok, you might of noticed that I have sold my ITB's and VEms ECU set up. It cost me lots and I have lost lots but I felt this is the only way I can get the car on the road anytime soon and also help pay off a few debts and actually have money to run the car! So I am resorting back to the std AE86 engine wiring loom and ECU. Sure it wont be as fast or as cool sounding but its better that an big fat brown paper weight. hahaha And I liked the std powers the AE86 has anyway, I feel its just right for my skill level and pockets! so wit that it was time to tak all the hard work back out and get it ready for the new owners, so I spent yesterday taking off the ITBs and stuff but I needed something tidy o replace it all with so ... out with the old... so i tarted up the old TVIS intake and TVIS unit as it would look shit with the rest of the engine being all clean.... had to sand block all the faces of the intake and TVIS unit as they had all old hard gasket on them so now there nice a readyy to bolt on but problem was the gaskets I have for them are shit ones so will get some new proper Toyota ones. also fitted a new knob! Ordered some new inlet gaskets for the inlet and they cam on friday so Sat i set to work bolting the lot back on the car. But I wasnt happy with the inlet sprayed silver so I shot blasted it so that it was a dull aluminium like my ITB's were. This looks much better IMO in the flesh, even though you cant tell too much in the pics. Just goot sort the wiring out. Gott take the old Vems loom out and then make mine run with a std AE86 loom! next on the list is.... - sent the std ae86 loom off to Simon86 and he is making me a pretty much bolt in play loom for the std 4age to work with the KE shit. Thank you Simon, you the man! - some normal RCA's to replace the NRCA's as I wasnt happy with how far the 8j rims stuck out of the arch so this will tuck them back 25mm each side. - a jap style lip is winging the way to the UK for my car aswell. they will make me love my car again! - did some more cleaning of parts and am going to start some more general tidying up of the car also. - also got some new T3 tension rods too as Ian G was selling them here cheap so got them! - gonna look at making a rear ARB fit on my KE came WITHOUT ARB's fixins at the rear. cheers Adam 1980 Toyota Corolla KE70 DX 1983 Levin GTV |

The metro grip usually is used by the bosozoku in the outside of the car, in back. |

I think Banpei means the sort of grip you find in metro's and busses to hold on to. If you look trough the rear window you see one just alike.
