yup that did the trick.
This post is also testing the ominous page 4 bug - as of now there are 30 posts in this thread which would equal 3 pages but it shows 4. By clicking on page 4 it say no topic availabe.

so page 4 seems to work now with this post (31). No 5th page appeared either. I wonder if it creates a 4th page as soon as the last post for one page has been posted... or maybe when some one post an X1 post and deletes it this happens?

I'm sure you can see more in the logs.

quote buttons a bit confusing...

typically the "reply" button means you are not quoting... so I moved to the small bulb type icon and hovered it said quote... but nothing happens when you click it...

as I began to write this I learned the "reply" button does actually quote the response... so.......

my overall point is I believe there is some irregularities in the new forum Angel

The idea behind it is that you can quote multiple people in one reply and I guess I already gotten used to it while testing. Undecided
Fixed that by now setting the default quote to the one you "reply" to and you can still select multiple postings to quote though.

In other words: without ticking the quote button and hitting reply you will quote only that particular post.

@Bean Bandit: can't see a thing unfortunately. But I'll try to see if google can help me out with this issue.

I'll look into it tomorrow and see if I can recreate it on my server, maybe it's a MyBB thing.

Regarding the quote thing, it is unfamiliar to many people.

Personally I like the 3 button approach: Reply;Quote;MultiQuote
It does take up quite a bit of space though and mostly needs to be spelled out on the buttons for instant recognition.

Something like this. The actual reply button is at the very end or beginning of the page

Good suggestion! Thumbs up!
I'll see if I can find the templates and replace the current buttons.

Quote:Unfortunately due to the upgrade all passwords have been reset so you can't use your old password anymore.

You can use the Lost-Password functionality of the forums to reset your password:

I received the aeu86 mail. And it said that all passwords are reset but my old password still works, strange? Wink

Define "old password". Wink
If you mean you can still use the forum without logging in: that could be the case as I heard something similar from Mux. Is this what you meant?

However if you need to log in from somewhere else you will not be able to as the password inside the database has been changed.

Just logged in on a different computer to check. I can login using my old password without resetting it. Even tested it using a different browser.

I tried just logging in because the provided links for resetting in the mail/front page message don't work.

edit:
lost password link has a typo, it says .com instead of .org
