My new beater!
The Beater is dead.. You could say that i killed it, and it wasnt quick and painless.

First the exchaust broke, well i could live with that, afterall its a easy fix. Then the gastank startet to leak, but only if it was totally full. Then it started to die when i turned left, but woke up again when it was back on the straight. After a couple of days it began to turn off the engine when i put it in reverse. After that it wouldnt give a spark, but after almost tapping a battery, it started up as it should. Then it began to drain the battery, it couldnt find the cause, but i think the alternator might be "dead" and that it was that who drained the battery. Then the turnsignal wouldnt work, but that was some loose connections under the steeringwheel. After that the positionlight was turned on all the time, but because i had to disconnect the battery caused by the alternator, i didnt care.
But then i drove into a dumpster and smashed the right taillight.

Now i drive this, and youll never see pictures of it getting painted with cardboard paint, driven into trees and abused like i did the Opel..

Rest in piss Opel, i WONT miss you!

No it does not have enough torque. Go swap it for a 7AFE. >Smile

Banpei, i have a collegue who got a Carina with the 7AFE and its not as quick as the 4AFE.

The specs is as follows: 7AFE: 107hp 150nm
4AFE: 116hp 145nm

Not worth the extra money if you ask me, especially when the 4AFE is a little bit quicker.

Ah, okay. As expected the 7A to has a bit more torque due to the bigger displacement, but I didn't know it made so little difference. Wink
