So how do you fit the gearbox??? Well, I took another route and decided to get an engine for it since it was lonely. Yummie!

Picked up my new engine today - who says you can't fit a SR in an 86? :o

For those who don't know, this is a SR16VE.

86mm bore, 68.7mm stroke
rod ratio of 2.11 (~4000fpm@9000rpm)
11:1 compression ratio
200/280 camshafts (low/high camlobe)
~175hp Nissan rated
~130kg

Ports look good - although not downdraft it seems similar to a smallport somewhat.

VE port is tad bigger than a smallport

Makes you wonder what they were thinking with the BIGport.

Unfortunately been busy building a house to take on any major project. At the moment its just s2000 cluster and 20v conversion Sad Also just hording some nissan parts in the meantime.

Once I move my gear over to the new garage I can begin to make a new mess.
