The green one is connected to the idle up valve that is attached to the airbox.

You need to angle the seat back more

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

"I wonder how people can use an aftermaket air intake with the connector."

Actually you can mount the idle up valve whereever you want.. It´s only a small valve giving the motor a little bit more air so it idles a bit if you turn on a consumer like the rear window defroster or something like this.

So this week the car was finally road legal and i went to drive with it all day.
I love driving the car its great.
The sound is raw and the rally bangs when shifting are Thumbs up!
Getting used to driving non p/s again.

Not much done this week mainly thought process on some things i want to do.Forgive my paint drawings,i hope you can understand whats on the pictures.

air intake,
Something like this
http://i40.tinypic.com/2hmd1c1.jpg
With an airshield arround it to protect from the heat
I can get an apexi 2ndhand or k&n new in the local rallyshop.
and another weird one

edit:
found a really interesting setup
http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagames/N...20copy.jpg
pretty much the same as the one i have in the gti.

Really interesting article about an european ae86 who raced in Spa Francorchamps

seat brackets,
Since the super low is not low enough and i dont want to weld and cut the floor i need to come up with another solution.Im thinking of making something like this person has done and in stead of sidemount doing base mount.

rollcage,
i went to contact some rollcage builders who do custom cages to get some information on pricing.
I also tried to make a drawing from the cage i have in mind

If you improvements that can be done feel free to post them Smile

I have also ordered some items from usa that i had with a discount:
*AE86 Alternator Bracket
*Shifter Bushings
*Master Brake Cylinder Stoppers

They also have a Radiator Panels(link) but i think they are more for Looks than for efficiency or am i wrong?

I have a couple of questions i need advice with Smile

*airbox:
http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagames/N...20copy.jpg

Would this be a good setup with the box next to the headlights to suck air in with a filter.
*And what would be the best position for the filter filter upward | or filter - sideways

*Are the carpets from a blue interior SR5 the same as an european GT coupe with blue interior?

*What plugs should i go with, the one mentioned in the manual or aftermarket?
*is the conversion from belt driven fan to eletric fan worth it?
