Making new wiring harness from scratch, need help
Thanks Dave, I can't agree more  If I don't make a diagram, it will be a pain to figure i out later. And yes, I will reuse as must as I can, of the original harness. But I need to change a bit, I fit a larger fuelpump, my indicatorswitch are from a Vauxhall as well as the electric powersteering column also require a big! wire

I have tryed to reuse the original diagram, but it was a pain in the ass and not easy to figure out.

I work as a mechanic at Toyota and in the past 15 years, I have maked a engine wireharness for a Corolla AE101 swapped with a Silvertop, a Starlet EP70 swapped with a Silvertop, running on Corolla ECU, and build 3 Starlet EP81/91 turbo swap with orginal harness cut up and integrated with the cars harness. So I don't worry about the engine harness

I think I will go with something like this, but need to add a bit more: [Image: AEU86 AE86 - Making new wiring harness f... need help]

Project AE86 now begun.

Cars I have owned:
Toyota Starlet EP91 1,3 16v Turbo, 200hp
Toyota Starlet EP71 1,3 12v Sport
Mercedes 207D camper, 1977.
Toyota Starlet EP70 with a 174hp Silvertop 20v See video here:

Toyota Corolla AE101 with a 164hp Silvertop 20v. (Evolution bodykit and candycolor paint).
Volvo 240 2,1 (The only car I have maked money on).
Toyota Corolla EE90 (my first car)

Not that job if you dont go too far.
My car uses geniune wiring with all extra pieces deleted.
There are really long wires going from that junction on firewall (not fuse box, not sure about name) which should be wired to custom switches.
You can use connector on keylock, just change wires going from that and route them to kill switch (i presume everybody use them) and starter switch.

I relocated the battery by adding new thick wire going to starter and from there to engine bay fuse box.

Everything works like a charm.
