MY TOYOTA HISTORY ...
First i fell in love with an older beauty... That was a 4/1978 Corona RT-100... In 1984 as a family car she became 2T-G 1.6 powered... these double solexes made a fantastic sound...first drifting lessons and police pursuits... Finally after my continuous "presure" she went 4A-GE in 1988! Last restoration she had was in 2002 and last time i saw her as in foto was in 7/6/2003 when she sucrificed herself to keep me alive!!! (if u know what i mean... off the road, cutting a tree in the middle, having 2-3 roll-overs... ... she dead me not a scratch... ) At that time i had a second car... Corolla G6 1.4 3d Hatchback which had replaced a Corolla XL-i 1.3 3d Hatchback(no fotos)and in July 2003 i "married" my first AE86!(u know her i think... ) AE86 FANATIC!!! |

Love the corona.
But for how long did you own it? Sounds like you've had it for quite a while. 1982 - TA60 Carina 4dr sedan - fun cruiser 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

alimonos Wrote:@Doctor : couldn't agree more yeah, for sure As we speak, i'm considering buying an old Corolla (KE20, if anyone knows what that is ). It has full roll-cage and bucket seats. It's used for rallies (not speed rallies, but navigation rallies (dunno if it is the right word)). Under the bonnet it has the mighty 2K engine with 54 wild mustangs But considering that the Japanese Coupe from this car had the 2T-G under the bonnet..... It's not in original state, so why bother bringing it back to original and just make something nice from it //edit: a TA22 GT... if i'd had the money (and the ability to find a REAL one here in holland (as far as i know, there only 5 or 6 left)) i'd certainly go for that one. What an awesome car //edit: Found a soundfile from a 'slight' tuned 2T-G in a TE71. Bored to 2 liter, special camshafts, blueprinted engine etc. etc. etc. Result: 165 RWHP And it sounds like a motorbike: TE71.wav In this file (captured from a vid) you hear the TE71 race against a Subaru Impreza on the quartermile. The rev sound in the beginning is NO motorbike, it's the TE71!! I don't know who wins, but it's a 10,7 vs. 11,3 Very quick, if you ask me!
