Kristian, just some points I think need mentioning:
I see in the pics that the coilover extends a bit above the nut that keeps the shock in. Wouldnt it be better to move the coilover down so that it is near the top of it's adjustment with the shock fully extended? It seems to me that your current setup robs your car of a few cm's of suspension travel that could be put to better use. You could just have a ring welded to the strut for the coilover to rest on...it will look better then a sawed off remnant of the stock spring perch too.
Maybe paint the struts in that blue color too..would look cool..

PS, I know the current setup will probably work fine but I'm a bit of a perfectionist sometimes..

Kris,

I have to agree with ivan on this one, I wondered about you shortening the strut above the original flange. I didn't shorten my strut at all and put the coilover ontop, the result for me is that I've had to put the coilover in lowest position to get a good ride height, not much use of the coilover.
But you have a shortstroke setup with the coilover now getting in the way especially when you put it on lowest position.

I'm still thinking about cutting my perch off and putting the coilover on lower so I can play more with the rideheight...

so true - the coil will be lowered - but not right now.
i need to test this out first

The coil is also a bit to short & also the spring is to short - i compared my stuff to ZaX´s coils/springs.
