Nice to see some progress. Get in touch with Jesse from Hanshin Imports - tell him I sent you and I'm sure he'll be able to help you out with most of the issues you still have.

PS: send me your Facebook handle if you got one, so I can send you an invitation for a local gathering.

The car passed inspection and is now registered. The expert was happy and told me to take care of this beauty. Thanks to Jesse, I could even get all the paperwork for the Advans. Perfect start to a great summer.

Congratulations! Hurray!
I see you had to do the MR2 indicator light swap as well! Thumbs up!

I actually never asked... Swiss regulations state "white" or "yellow" front facing lights, orange only for indicators.

Far too long since I've updated the thread here, there's quite a few things that have happened since getting the car registered and on the road. Among others, moving house, doing other stuff, renovating, etc.

But back to the car, here's some impressions of what has been since. First off, it's been a blast to drive it more or less regularly. It's seen some of its kind. And it's moved home, now it's not parked in a barn anymore.

I've installed a DAB+ receiver to be able to listen to radio in 2021+

Currently I have three projects that are still open:
- Get the Advan A3A wheels restored, still waiting for the guy that does them to finish
- Restore the hat compartment and add some trunk liner
- Install a set of auto cover fog lights that I've managed to track down

...and my wife's gotten the JDM virus, so a next project is already lined up.

Wow! I'd wish my wife drove a car like that! Big Grin
IRL my wife doesn't have a drivers license so that will never happen Undecided

The auto cover foglights look great on the car! I'm curious what it will look like once complete. Wink

Looking good and congratulations on the Skyline. I assume it's one that already passed all the registration mumbo jumbo?

Unfortunately no, not registered yet. Good thing is, it's in great shape (no rust, professionally repaired rear end damage - it was a track toy) with low mileage (51k on chassis and engine, some hard kilometers though). I got it for the same price as a shabby one straight from Japan and should come out slightly cheaper than any of the listed GTRs in Switzerland.

Also, remember these? It was black once.
