Hello from... not Europe.
Hi guys, just a courtesy introduction as I am new to the forum.

Picked up an ae86 recently - Trueno Coupé/American GT-S two-door - and just snooping around gathering information before I start the build.

Will continue snooping and digesting all the info on AEU86.ORG over the next few weeks as it is a bit of a new car for me. Used to driving modern machinery with no tinkering required or tooling around on much older machinery.

Always wanted an AE86 and got one. It's a piece of shit. Love it.

Hello from... not Europe.
Heh Dubai)

You're lucky, as for me AE in Dubai can't catch rust so easy, aslo Toyota warehouses are somewhere in UAE , you'll be able to get necessary parts easier and quicker)

My car even older than I.

Dec. 1983 zenki Levin coupe AE85 swapped to 4age16v from ae92 and other needed stuff and RHD to LHD
Nov. 1985 kouki Trueno hatchback AE85, with 86s suspension, @3A + A42DL, RHD

Thanks for the welcome guys.

As for parts availability from Toyota here KoJl6ACA, not so good. Fine for new cars still in production but they haven't much interest in ordering parts for old cars. Will therefore be ordering most parts from Japan.

Hello from... not Europe.
When I order new OEM parts through amayama.com they either ship from japan or they ship from UAE, so parts availablity at nice prices should be great. If the dealers wont help you, order online, shipping costs wont ruin the party for you as they do for me.
