Hail to all
Thank you Pack Smile

Thanks, Bean, I know I need the very best of luck.
Maybe if you share your experiences, how you find them, etc... it might help me Smile

Patience and more patience. Setup automatic search results everywhere one could be advertised and constantly search the network in the places where automatic searches aren't possible.
I missed a Levin for a reasonable price once by less than 24h Sad
As you want a Trueno it will make it that much more difficult, maybe someone else can chip in where they were sold in Europe. In Switzerland we only got Levin hatch models originally.

Honestly i would go for anything....

Swapping to a Trueno is like walking on the ice.... I've made it easily.... Smile

Two relays and some wires following the OEM schemes.... Done Smile

Cheers!

Are you looking for a Levin? If you give me more detail I'll merge the two serches. So far I almost overlooked Levin models.

The hatchback models seems to be rarest than sedan, so it's something Wink

Really? But is it more easy to find Trueno's hood? And what about current laws that banned pop-up headlights? Yes, it does not apply to historic cars but what about models not originally provided? Is that legit?

Already got a Levin and currently barely have time to work on that so not going out of my way to get another one unless it's the bargain of the century

Well... in Portugal no Truenos were sold... But the ones that are imported they don't differ in anything on the papers.... So.....

They are all Corolla GT! Smile

They just made it easier for me to swap Smile

Wait, when I say Trueno I mean all Corolla AE86 versions (GT-S, RS5 and other?), as named when exported from Japan, with pop-up headlights Tongue
Let me explain better: I'm looking for any Corolla AE86 (those exported have AE88 as chassis code in the VIN, right?) with Trueno's body, pop-up headlights and RWD, regardless of the name.
Your last phrase send me back to a reply that maybe you missed.

I ask 'cause I'm considering to searching one with fixed headlamps and swap to a Trueno's hood.
That if I'll not find a "Trueno".
By the way, I'll edit the original posts because I also settle for a "Trueno" with serious mechanical problems

Answering....

Trueno is only a AE86 with popups.... Smile

Fixed headlights are Levin, popups are Truenos.

I have a original Levin, converted to Trueno.

Trueno parts are kinda cheap if you know where to buy them. Bumpers are getting a bit hard to find....

In Portugal all Levin and imported Truenos are named "Corolla GT", so doesn't really matter what you have. You're always legal.

Cheers
