Map poorly tuned, some wiring problems, some electrical problems, too many variables to make the engine reliable as a stock one. Smile

Megasquirt is more susceptible to bad wiring than other standalone ECUs but in my opinion it's on par from the tuning side of things.
But I completely understand your point. I still have my tuning session ahead of me for when I finished my engine build but I had a previous MS2 running nicely before.

go for it I'm sure you'll be happy - if you want/need more power a stock beams will be next Wink
I like to tinker just as much as I like driving - if I'd only find a new garage to continue my work.
good luck and look at the s-86.com site - you can order necessary conversion parts from there and I think there is also a guide.
All in all factor in about 1000euro on top of the engine/harness/ecu for the conversion and you'll be fine.

Thank you!
