Doc's KE20: - really coming together now
This is my new project, not an AE86, but i think it's interesting enough to follow Big Grin

This is my soon to be car, when i first went looking for her:

An 1974 Corolla Sedan.
Full caged, sparco seats, sparco steering wheel, TRS 4 point harnesses, 4 extra lights on the front etc. etc. etc.

The technics are very good, but nothing spectaculair Smile
A 3K-H engine, 1200cc with 54 bhp Big Grin
RWD, open diff, 4 speed manual.

I fell in love the moment i saw her.
But i wanted to check it very good, because these old cars are known for their rust, and i don't want that Smile.

So we checked it last saturday:

It was in an amazing state, almost NO rust at all.
Only some minor rust at the left and right front fender.
All the other rusty areas are small spots, which can be repaired very easily.
So i bought her that same day!

I called a guy who works at the dutch traffic office (RDW) and he said to me that the lights, hoodpins and the power cutoff thingie aren't allowed (no sharp things in front of the windshield). So they have to dissapear from the car for that 1 hour Evil
Cage, seats and harness shouldn't be a problem (although, if i can find a spare set for the check, i'd like to put on the std. harnesses, just to be sure Big Grin). Probably need to weigh the car, because the cage is added.

The waiting list is very short atm, so i'm just waiting untill the owner has finished with the minor things he has to do (taking out the TripMaster and export the car) and then it's ready to pick it up and getting it on dutch license plates Smile

The plans for the future are, to swap Japanese TE27 (Coupe SR5) parts in it.
LSD, 2T-G, 5 speed gearbox etc. etc. Big Grin
But that's just wishful thinking atm, first need to get it on dutch plates.

I'll be writing the story with costs etc. for importing it to the Netherlands here, so expect updates very soon Big Grin

Congrats m8! take good care of her. Please make sure to list the costs you've had while importing this beauty!

there are a couple of options for flush fitting bonnet pins so that be easily sorted out.

Congratulations on the car by the way, a nice bit of Toyota history
