Diferential Question
As Banpei pointed out there is a bit of work involved in changing from an S series diff to a T series diff. However, if you want an LSD this is pretty much the only option.

If possible source the complete T series, including handbrake cables (front and rear sections) and the rear half of the tail shaft. All the mounting points will be the same and the last issue is the brake bias. You can source one of these from a disc brake car or you can take the spring and valve out of the one you have.

If you can't get the handbrake cables a competent shop should be able to shorten your existing ones. Failing that you can fold them over and fasten with a turnbuckle.

Diferential Question
I do agree: it is better for the long run and much easier to find an aftermarket LSD since they are quite ubiquitous...
