Hi,

Just wondering what you did with the brake backing plates off the ma4x? Ie. Are you keeping them for something else, or just rubbish?

I'm keeping them, in case I feel I need to upgrade my rear rotors to 1" larger. I'm considering looking into having some brackets made that will utilize the stock ae86 calipers with the ma46/47 rotors for a cheap and easy brake upgrade...

Excellent writeup Andrew, as always! Thumbs up!

Do you have any idea how much the supra rear end weights, compared to the AE one?

No, unfortunately I don't. At a guess I'd say between 15-40lbs heavier. I didn't have access to a scale at the time I put it together and I wasn't willing to wait to get it on the car.
