Crankshaft oil seal - help!
Please help!
I need dimensions of front crankshaft oil seal. They are giving me 3 different dimensions in the store: 35/49/6 or 32/49/6 or 32.5/46/6.
I have red top, big port, 7 ribs engine.

Fun is not the straight line!

I'm planning to replace the seal this weekend, so I need more info about this job.
Work steps and tools required?
Thx.

Out with the radiator
Off with the accessory belts
Off with the top timing belt covers
Off with the crank pulley
Off with the lower timing belt cover
Off with the timing belt and timing belt drive pulley
Out with the old seal and clean the surfaces
In with the new seal (with a smear of GP grease on the rubbing face)
Reverse the above to assemble

Make sure you :

Mark the position of the timing belt on the pulleys, so that
you don't mess up the timing.

Put the timing belt around the bottom driving pulley before you
replace the crank pulley Blush

Have the correct tools and some patience, as the crank pulley can be
a bit difficult to get off, and needs to be torqued up properly on assembly.

Cheers... jondee86
