Hello everybody,

well after I've decided to keep my Corolla (had a buyer already lined up) and I finished one nice piece of several to come I tought I'll start this thread already although the real modifications will only start after easter (if the car survives another easter on the ring, that is Smile)

so now to the goodies - just finished building my MSIIv3 hence the thread Smile

other goodies that are on the way are a new radiator (the current split and is now glued together), fresh engine mounts, some speed bleeders... need to source some more money to get the last few bits and bobs and then I'll start the fun Smile
For those interested some more detailed spec of what I'll be aiming for:

Engine base: early Bigport, no CAT, EGR removed

desired Compression ratio: 11:1

Bottom end: stock (for now with 9.4 OEM pistons)

Head: Bigport with TRD Group A headwork (done by myself - spare head already with me)
TRD .5 headgasket (already ordered) to get the compression down to about ~10.25:1 the last step to get the compression to my desired value will be done through milling the head ~0.1mm Smile

Camshafts: Catcams (click me)
[code:1]Cam# Duration IN/EX Lift IN/EX Cam Timing
7105148 268°/260° 10.7/10.25 108°/108°
[/code:1]

Valvetrain: Springs&Retainers to suit above (whatever I can find got a few options, one of them being OEM VW springs that work great or from catcams too), Shimless buckets from the Toyota 1SZ-FE engine (might consider the Toda kit as the 1SZ lifter are quite expensive from toyota even with a discount)

Intake: AE101 ITBs fitted on T3 manifold along with long stackrunners and a custom plenum to get fresh air in there keep torque figures higher

Exhaust: stock but ported header up to the 4-2 part (already done) and a custom rest (ala Toda N1 but with muffler to keep noise down)

Management: well obviously MSIIv3.0 with MSnS extra code and thus converting to MAP and ditching the AFM Smile

Exterior will stay as is for now as I can't be bothered yet... (spent a fortune on that stuff on my SX for **** all, ok it's lighter but meh...)

as mentioned before I won't start with mods on the car befor easter as I'm going to the ring then and don't want to miss out on that and the usual culprit money starvation Wink

EDIT: I'll be updating this first post sometime this or next week - to get a more condensed and up to date intro

Thanks - currently it's realy dirty from all the snow and salt Sad
I'll have a stim on sunday so will be testing and learning whole february to get it going as quick as possible Smile

I just updated the first post with more details Smile

I'll try fitting and tuning my MS before the easter ringweekend but if time gets too tight or the setup isn't safe I'll revert back for the ring. Want to get there and back in one piece and no damage.
