Sutter,

Thats not the point, Toyota no longer makes them, ergo they are running out. Most panels can't be bought new anymore. You have to be lucky to run against a set (they are still out there) but prices are going up because people who still have them know how scarse they are. Only if you are lucky and a Toyota dealer or importer still has them in stock somewhere they may sell them at the original price.

This is why the reproductions are now made. But because the reproductions are made in small amounts, the prices are way higher then the originals from Toyota. Now you may still have a choice, but soon you won't.

And lets be honest, not every repair guy is skilled enough to handbeat a side panel into shape if you really have to replace the side, and even if one is, here in holland, that would still make that panel loads more expensive then a reproduction one (unless if you have a repair man as friend who's willing to do it for a case of beer offcourseBig Grin )

OK Mux, agree. Though here in Hungary the handmade panels are cheaper than these. Finding a guy who can and will make them...this part is really difficult.

Too late, you missed it. But then I'm sure you know what an AE86 looks like anyway.
