Hey Alex,

If you after a cheaper option and only need a single row on your crank pulley get someone to slice off the outer row on a lathe.

Chops a load of weight off the crank pulley and you retain the elastomer core so better harmonic dampening. Oh and its cheap!

A friend used a T3 pulley kit on a blacktop in an AE86 and thinks that might be why it died. Think you need the harmonic dampening. Having said that, lots of drifters etc use them so maybe not so bad.

thats impossible,i have a blacktop and drifted it for like 2 years now(and really hard!)
now it sits in my te71 for 2 years, yes the same engine with the alu pully.

now its finally wornd out,and needs a rebuild, and NO its not the pully that did it Tongue stil running but uses oil and the headgasket is leaking,no big deal.

if youre engine breaks down on you,YOURE ENGINE SUCKS

dont blame the pully Wave

I think the 4age is internally balanced, so you can put the alloy pulley on it for sure... Thumbs up!

those harmonic dampening is mainly there to reduce the vibrations to the aux. stuff.
its not there for the engine itself

if there is an issue about unbalanced pulleys on the 4AG i'm sure there would be lots of info on the web.
NST, T3, Jubiride, etc. are selling those pulleys for ages and 99% of the customes don't have any problems
i think it's like jasper said
