NoHachi (and others) are U able to help with wheels bump and rebound travel range ?

I've never seen a stock AE86 to measure on...

Stock stroke is about 20cm front and rear. +-10%

AE86 roll bar dimensions F R
torque arm distance 360 360 [mm]
L-twist 700 600 [mm]
L-connection 509 360 [mm]

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

Thanks mate.
NoHachi a technical question for You as moderator:
Is there any chance to create a simple html table in a post on our forum ?

And now an attempt to clarify the data.
factory front spring ~1.6 (~ because from some pictures they looks progressive not linear - I can be wrong because I also have never seen the original)
then rear 1.85 kg/mm (looks linear for me - or maybe I messed something ?)

Now the wheel vertical traveling.
I feel more comfortable here, I have some data from few books.
I need to confess, I dont have numerical values for now, but it seems to me that ~ 20cm is too much for stock car.
Front shock stroke is 186mm and 195mm in rear case.
So it is housed in the margin of error given by NoHachi.
But here comes the question:
Is shock storke coincides 100% with a wheel travel range ? I dont think so.
We need exact geometry of the suspension, to calculate all this precisely.

NoHachi is there a thin chance for some dimensioned drawings of these stabilizers ?
I know that I am troublesome, but as an engineer I try to be very accurate. Besides, ashamed to admit, but at the moment I still dont know how the OE looks like. Network is full of pictures but rather"sport"replacements than the factory one.

The replacements are the same shape as the stock ones, they are just a different diameter.

Shock stroke does not coincide 100% with wheel travel, motion ratio is more like 0.96, so close enough.

You can post HTML table, just do a search for "Excel data" and you should find it.

A pedal to steer the rear

OEM springs are linear on all 4 corners

also... the wheelbase to track ratio on an AE86 is considered "unstable". From memory any ratio of 1.6 or lower is "stable", while ratios above 1.6 less so. Modern Formula One cars have a ratio close to 2.0

It's very good news Oldeskewltoy, thanks a lot.
And greatly simplifies their mathematical definitions for me.

Thanks NoHachi, I will try this"Excel data"whatever that means.
For now a typical html code is displayed as text.
And thanks for more data. I try to compile and clarified it all.
Still a lot of inaccuracies, but it slowly closes in meaningful framework.
I hope that we'll be able to tighten them full agreement with reality.

In the next few days will purchase another book, I'm counting that it will contain suspension blueprints (other manuals in this release did)

Time return to bump stops, do we know the size and shape of them ?
I have a book devoted entirely to this topic, I can choose the chart curve shape, depending on rubber shape.
NoHachi You have written"They have a 15kg/mm rate or so"once
(http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/trd-shock...t3/start=0)
Do You have something more ? and where did You get these info ?
Unfortunately I didnt hit even a trace of such data Banging head

Just extrapolating from what I've seen for bumpstoprates for other cars.

And: http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/posting-e...ight=excel

for tables

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

Ok now I have full brightness, or how call this in English ;-)
Anyway, all is clear now, thanks a lot my friend.

I decided to publish what I can confirm in tables, this will be the most legible form and I will not have to scan.

So the question about the shape and size of the bump stops remains.
Of course, if someone can add something - please go ahead !

my next step will look this way:

but in full 3D

Herds another question, are all dimensions shown in this diagram are true ?

Guys please help me, Im looking for ae86 stock anti-sways rates.
This matter looks hopeless, I dont see anything about it anywhere.
Without this data my project stuck in deadlock.
