you measure and shorten or lengthen the panhard on the adjustable bit accordingly untill the measurements are even. Best done with a pit as that way you can roll the car back and forth between measurements to be sure the adjustment has settlet (not necessary if you see results before)

If you have a lift, the best place to do your measurements from are the 4-Link pickup points. You want the wheels to be at an equal distance to those.

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

There are so many way to do it. I read the AE86 Owners Bible, it even said you should measure from the drain holes to anti roll bar brackets

Its easy to do – Drive the car between 2 gate posts.

Standing behind the car.

If the car is lowered you will probably need to move the car body over to left and the axle over to the right.

Attach a ratchet strap around the left rear towing and then around 1 of the gate posts.

Attach another ratchet strap around the right rear wheel and around the other gate post.

Disconnect the panhard bar.

Then ratchet each of the straps to pull the body and axle inline. Measure off the arch initially and then when you close find 2 fixed points between the axle and the chassis to get it bang on.

Once done, adjust the Panhard to the correct length and bolt back into place.
