Adam's white, rusty levin...updated 23-09-2018!!
Not to ruin your plans or anything - but it would been 100 time easyer to source a lightly damaged / or just a simply non used chasis (import) and swap everything up from your hachi?? (as long as you are in UK...) Chasis cost around 600-800punds - and you could end up having non-welded / small amount rusted chasis...

And talking from experience - you will end up with rust once again after a year or so... you can expect this if the job will not end up done right...

Anyway - good luck man Smile

P.S. nu rimtai gi Smile Blemba - netgi LT buvo keletas Hachiu islinde uz 2500-3000lt su tikrai maziau parudijusiais kebulais... Nu anyway Smile

a little Off Topic:
tie visi LT hachiai tai tik iš tolo atrodo mažiau parūdiję, man pačiam taip buvo, paėmiau už 2,5k, bet pradėjus labiau tvarkytis tai vaje vaje kiek chaltūrų pridaryta (skylės dugne visokiom gumom užklijuota buvo), ieškočiaus kito kėbulo, bet nelabai yra galimybės ir finansų. Confused

To be honest i have seen hachis in worse getting repaired because of rust.
And to be honest if its all you got the best thing is to make sure the job is done right.
After all the peices that put this car together and make it a car are all pressed and box metal welded together.
The problems come when they are panels like bonnet and boot and roof .
But other then that if there is underbody rust and rust on odds and ends best to cut away lots and weld backsheet metal.
I have a rusty bucket too but because its my hachi i will restore it to some great degree of difficulty but will post many pics etc and show the world what can be done.
heck if it doesnt work out whats the worst that could happen.... we take off the shity peice and weld back something correct.
Ps Adam for some hints maybe you dont have to find a ae86 shell just for the peices you need get a complete ke70 shell and then remove the chassis peices like rear chassis legs and floor pan and weld it into your car.
They are identical even the boot floor where the spare wheel sits is the same same same and the wheel arches as well so grab them.
only going concern is what about the arches on the out 1/4 fender how do we repair those ?
????
Cheers

I felt sorry for that Toyota corolla ae86 coupe. Who ever own it before didn't give rasp Sh*t about. How could they do that to it. It infected too much cancer. Doing a project like that wouldn't be an eazy task to take on, however if you know anything about body work and have the welding equipment then this project would be eazy to take on.

I'm not trying to make you feel bad, but alots of peoples would have put it in the scrap yard because the body too rusty and shell maight not be that strong as it before. If you continue to keep it then might as well take you time on the body and see if you could find parts for it. Gosh damn weather... GOod luck.

Hey! Just found this Big Grin It hasn't gone too far into the past lol Big Grin I was hoping it will be in the last pages haha...

The car is sold a year or so ago, and now is being repaired bit by bit. The guy that was working on the car when i owned it has passed away, so there was the story of my repairs, as i paid him all the money for the welding and repairs, but, well, that's the past.

I will own a levin coupe once again in the future, i give you 100%, just need to make other stuff happen first Wink

It's nice to be back here haha... Cheers for all the encouragement and support! Smile
