Hey Guys,

Ok I guess I have a minute before I pass out from exhaustion after two days with little sleep.

At 1:17 am this morning (14/6/20007) my darling daughter Linsey was born, 3 days after the calculated date. My wife Lily had been in labor most of the 13th. Giving birth for the most part was pretty text book, from the time serious contractions began, to the time it took for the woom to open up, to the time and effort it took to push out a 4.26 Kg heavy! baby (yeah she's a big girl alright).

Linsey is a healthy baby girl that really takes after her mother for looks, and her father for spirit as she's a gentle girl that accepts easily what is happening and is loving every minute of the experience.

Unfortunately a few hours after birth a complication did arise. The woom kept bleeding, for those that care about these details, the placenta is also 'delivered' but leaves (or can leave, not sure) a wound within the woom that will bleed. For this the woom needs to contract after birth to stop this bleeding. The problem with contracting the woom is that the blatter sits in the way.
Probably (its hard to be sure) due to Lily not being able to empty her blatter, and probably due to Linsey being such a big baby (and thus a big placenta), this stage of the delivery did not go as planned and Lily started loosing to much blood.

A trip to the hospital was needed to correct things applying fluids to Lily replacing the lost blood and to apply medication that would result in the woom doing its thing. By early morning the bleeding had nearly stopped completely and it was only a matter of time to get Lily's blood levels back up to stat (she lost over 1.5 liters by the end).
