wasn't sure if this has been covered before so i apologize in advance if this is a repost of some sort

Maybe this should be a no-brainer but i was trying to come up with something i can use to hold gauges in place where the ac panel goes, i had found this plastic around the house and cut out holes but couldn't get it to work or look as good as these, has anyone else done some that came out good? have any tips or materials you used?

trying to get something along the lines of these pics

On full? Or 1/4? Heating? "Cold" air? This isnt the best solution IMHO Big Grin

get a double din bracket and use 1 din from that for 3 gauges. Or get a bracket next to the right vent where you can hide 3 meters.

Downside on that is you won't be able to look at the clock anymore Smile

Better solution would be to sacrifice the ashtray and lighter and integrate a gauge holding plate there. More work and lesser visibility though.

I put my wideband in the vent above the wiper switch and attached two pods to the left of it.

lol wasn't sure if this was sarcasm or not haha BUT i've never had A/C or heater since i've had my 86. My first 86 had everything the second time around i didn't have any of the lines, a/c compressor, no heater core no nothing i'm used to it by now so i'm not really losing anything by putting gauges here. Also i like this location because it looks more oem instead of gauges sticking out and drawing more attention.

No clue if you can find it but we did some fixtures with rubber coated aluminium. It's has an OEM like texture and is easier to work with than a carbon panel.
