I have only seen it done once. I have a 240sx with a sr20 dropped in it, plus stage 3 clutch. The bad part is, being Me... I pushed it a little to far... As in hit a tree.. The engine is still good but the body is TRASH and frame is bent. So I have a really good engine but no car. So I was looking into putting the sr20 into a ae86. I have no idea how much it going to cost or how I'm going to fit it in there. So If any of you have any idea or anything like that it would be awesome to give me some info.

Basically you are going need custom motor mounts , trans mount, fire wall and trans tunnel modification depending on your oil pan you may need to modify the cross member, custom header, wiring, ect. ect.

Do a search on the forums for sr20det. You'll find at least two results: Zax and Jasper. Probably some others too. They know the most about the swap. The australian forums are also ridden with hybrid ae86s so take a look over there too.

Can try for SR86 also, that combo is so common that people gave it a standard name
p.s. often, they also transfer whole suspension from S13 |
