AE86 Rear Brake options.
got some additional info:
an 86 owner aroud here did a similar mod. he also had problems with the lack of a good writeup. he ended up using the rear calipers of golf 4 and with " corolla ts " rear brake disks which are 280mm in diameter and were redrilled to 4x114,3 also had to make additional brackets which mounts on the ae86 original bracket. sounds pretty complicated. far from a bolt-on job :S
at least it works perfect. the downside is that due to the 280 diameter disc he cant put on anything smaller than 15inch wheels.

after some serious catalog digging with the help of a friend. we found out which primera disc is the legend about.

Nissan Primera P10 2.0 16V rear disc
specs:
solid type / not cooled
outer diameter: 257,5mm
thickness: 10mm <-this matches the golf 4 rear caliper
minimal thickness: 9mm
pcd: 4x114,3
hub size (?disc mounting face hole inner diameter?) 68mm <-here needs too be a spacer machined since ae86 size is 60mm

Hi, did you manage to mount the Mk4 calipes onto stock AE86 brackets in the end?

I would like to try this setup as it seems to be cheaper for me to do this than get some new stock calipers.

hello again :
I'm working on the rear brake adaption , and the Golf IV calipers/Nissan Primera rotors aren't bolt on , for sure .
The problem encountered is that one : when Primera discs are fitted , there is not enough room to place the caliper between stock brake bracket and rotors . Even with the bracket fixed on the other side of stock situation .

It's a pitty that Jamiemirror is no longer here , as he seems to have succes with that mod .

Maybe I did'nt use the correct Nissan Primera rotors , but I use the P11 primera discs, as Jamie said .

Trying to do my own bracket , but it's a great job to do , and I'm not sure about reliability ,as I only use two holes on the rear gear housing (4 on stock bracket .
If someone has a solution ...he 's welcome

Thanks lajoosh , and NoHachi , for your help .
I also got the same Primera disk , but can't fix the caliper . Maybe not the same .
Bought it from an AUDI A3 . Will makes pics.
But , having a look at your pics , I can see a spring (for handbrake) which I don't have . that could be a different caliper .

to be continued .....

S14's are 5x114.3... so you can use that disc if you redrill it (if thats even possible). P10 and P11 primera's use the same rear brake discs, but already @ the 4x114.3 PCD.
