A new hachiroku!
Hey Guys,

A long long time ago I came accross a site where Toyota anounced making a new hachi roku based on a IS200. Basically they wanted to make a 2 door version on the IS200 with a shorter body.

That was that, just that press release and never heard anything about it so I assumed that it was just a load off bull.

However it seems it was not bullshit at all, some guy at club4ag got his hands on the prototype! We should see it on the market somewhere early 2006! WHOOOOT!

Owh, totally forgot the specsSmile

5ZZ-GE
Cylinders - 4
Square bore/stroke ratio

IS is RWD. The car ain't that light, but it has more power so thats a +. But do not forget the price of the car won't be that cheap. Maybe 25-30k in Holland for the best model. I rather buy another car for that amount of cash.

Aico, adjusted for inflation the original hachi roku would have been in the same top end price range when it was still new. Compare it to the competition I think 30k would be on the cheap side. Just look at the price of an RX8, 350Z, S2000, etc. They are all well over 30k.

@mux: But the S2000 and 350Z are not really the same category, are they? I mean, they're 2-seter convertible and both produce more than 200 hp. The RX-8 is another story of course.
