wasn't easy to get off tho, took me 2 days to get all the glue off, just to see that when the car was resprayed by the previous owner they didn't even bother to take them off so now i got a slight difference in paint color and its a little lower where it used to sit.

Ah well just another reason to speed up the paint plans Tongue

Got a question, i'm going drifting next friday, what tire pressure should i use, it will be a driftschool day so always wet conditions and i'm using standard 13" wheels with 185/70 on the back. Would 2.2bar be sufficient or do i need to go higher?

Hybri,

For drifting I've heard the higher your rear tire pressure, the easy it is to kick the back out. I believe Jasper and Vernon go way beyond 2.2 bar.

I usually race on 2.2bar. But I don't drift so I can't recommend something.

Driftschool this friday..damn I wanted to go there too.
Too bad I have exams that day..

I'm hoping to make niederhein next saturday 3nov.

Try 3.0 bar.
Or just leave the 2.2 in there. The course is going to be wet so you will be sliding quite easily anyways. Wink

i'm going to put 2.6 on one set and i'll take the other too, just in case, and put them on 2.8 and see what will happen. I know Vernon(p-nut on here i think) is an instructors there, don't know if he'll be there, so i can get some info on susp settings etc...

From personal experience I would advise you to change your 4link bushings for some harder ones.
(my car for instance even had trouble doing burnouts with the old bushings, it would shake and jump but would not keep the tires on the road. new bushings and i couldn't believe how easy it was doing burnout with just 120hp.)

Stiff suspension also helps a lot.

Then you just go and practice a lot.

hello there hibrid!

I usually pump 13 inch tires to 2.6-2.7 and 14 inch 2.7-2.9 dependind on how slipery is the surface.

make sure you take enough wheels&tires and be aware that winter tires last shorter than summer ones.

Harder suspenion is on the way, ordered new koni yellow through my brother for cheap Tongue (he works at auto5 and gets a discount), and about the bushings, according to the MOT in belgium it's illegal to change the original bushings to stiffer ones. I was thinking about buying the set from the shop but they are red, and would stand out too much on the stock car(god i love belgium laws Angry ). (Would it be possible to get a set of bushings in black????)

I'll keep it as it is for now, but as soon as the car is 25 i'm going to register it as oldtimer and then i can do whatever i want to it, I could even stick a jet engine in and they couldn't say anything basically Tongue . So it's still a while till then but i'm pretty much already on the lookout for the parts i want, full suspension and a more power being number 1 and 2 on the list.

I can't wait till friday and see how the car will perform.

PS: i went to toyota to get a quote on overhaul of the lsd and basically the rest of the rear axle, with parts and labor it would come to 1100€, hmm i can wait with that tbh as i'm sort of unemployed at the moment Sad

There will be a lot of changes in the future, so watch this space
