Are you running the same revlimit as before?

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

yes standard rev limit is retained - i had it checked and it was running lean in the high revs but i changed the injectors to small port injectors (pink) and this problem has stopped she runs fine all the way to the limit, however with 7A you do not need to bounce off the limiter all the time as peak power is at 6600RPM so i find myself only reving to 7200 to ensure i drop into the powerband in the next gear Smile

ok peoples here it is
the 7a has 2 or 3 bad areas
1 the rods are piss weak and will break if you take it near redline alot
2 the pistons are also a weak area and will need replaced
3 it only has a 6 bolt flywheel

i built a 7agte myself and i run argo rods about 1100 australia dollars and aries pistons$800 and run a porsche 944 timing belt which it also needs
the bore is the same as a 4age so 4age pistons will fit it is just the stroke that is longer it is also an idea to shot peen the crank and run apr bolts for extra strengh any of the small, big 20v heads will bolt up

it is a great engine if built correctly and alot of the clubmans/lotus7s ect run that set up here in australia

What would need for this hybrid? 7A block, 4AGE head, Porsche 944 timing belt, but which ECU? 7A or 4A? Any piggyback are required? Any campulleys to adjust timing? The 4A flywheel need to be redrilled or just use the 7A flywheel and clutch?

Two of my friends are considering this project, one with a AT200 Celica (6g)/ 7AFE for a headswap, the other is a hachi possible turboed later.
