4A-GE + CARB
I found another set of sidedraught carburators and now waiting delivery.
If someone is interested, maybe soon I will sell a perfect set of DelOrto DHLA 40's, jetted for 1.6 NA engine.

PS: If someone plan to use DelOrto, Weber or Solex soon - at the moment I try to make (CNC) an 35 mm thick adapter plate for bigport engine - I can make for cheap on request.

About ignition - IMHO Ford EDIS will be the cheap and reliable - just stick to carbureted Ford models as donor car ! I can fabricate toothed wheels on request also (with custom diameter and internal shape).

Thanks for your good advices.
I did some research too and found an interesting system called Hyperpak.
You keep the stock distributor and connect the sytem to it .
You only have to change coil for a non balast soil!
here's the link
http://www.erd.co.nz/Toyota.htm
it looks very simple and interesting.
I also have another question: most inlet manifold I found are for 45mm carburettors. Isn't it a bit large for the 1600cc engine. But it's hard to find
smaller ones(for 40mm dia)

Try Ford EDIS from carburated Ford engine - that way you will remove the distributor and can make nice exhaust runners! The complete EDIS setup will cost you ~70EU at the junkyards (I can supply the teeth wheel for 5EU).
Do you want bigport intake for 40mm carburators? In the moment I try to fabricate mine-for Solex/Weber/DelOrto carburators using some CNC services. If you want,I can make one for you. This is billet, duraluminium (aluminium alloy, used primarily in aviation) intake adapter (thickness ~35mm).

PS: Yes, the 45's are a little bit large. I see 45's in racing 4AGE with 200+hp - on the movies, not real Respect!
